Senior Biomedical Engineer

Job Title : Head Technical Engineer for Biomedical Equipment and Laboratory Supplies

Scope of Work :Mainly performs supervision and training of Technical Engineers responsible for installation, maintenance, calibration, and technical support of biomedical equipment and supplies distributed by the company. The role ensures delivery of the highest level of technical performance, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency of the team. The position also plays a critical role in developing the technical team's competencies, managing documentation, and supporting business growth through quality service to clients.

II. Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Operations

l Oversee installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of medical laboratory equipment and diagnostic instruments.

l Ensure timely service delivery in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs) and manufacturer standards.

l Review and approve service reports, calibration certificates, and technical documentation.

l Maintain up-to-date technical manuals, protocols, and service logs in coordination with the Product Education and Training Team.

B. People and Team Management

l Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of Technical Engineers and support staff.

l Develop individual development plans and training programs.

l Foster teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning within the department.

C. Customer and Vendor Coordination

l Coordinate with clients for technical support, product training, and service feedback.

l Liaise with suppliers or principals for warranty claims, spare parts management, and technical updates.

l Support sales and marketing teams with product demonstrations and after-sales technical assistance.

D. Administrative and Compliance

l Ensure coordination of regulatory compliance.

l Maintain service records for audits and certifications.

l Oversee inventory of tools, test equipment, and spare parts.

l Recommend process improvements and budgetary allocations for technical operations.

E. Strategic and Leadership Functions

l Develop and implements Departmental KPI's.

l Provide technical insights during business planning and tender preparations.

l Lead continuous improvement initiatives for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

l Participate in cross-departmental management meetings and strategic reviews.

III. Qualifications

A. Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or related technical field.

· Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering or related technical field.

· Preferably with 3-5 years' experience in leadership position in the Biomedical industry.

· PRC license preferred; OEM certification/training is an advantage.

· With Valid Professional Driver's license.

· Able to travel in parts of the country

· Familiarity with Philippine biomedical and health regulations

I. WORK SCHEDULE: 8 hours shift- Monday to Friday

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
