Senior Accounting Officer

The
Senior Accounting Officer
, based at the Makati Head Office, will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance operations of the Japan-affiliated company and the ROHQ entity. This includes overseeing month-end closing of books, handling collections and disbursements, maintaining accurate bookkeeping, and ensuring tax compliance. The role also involves coordinating internal and external audits, managing regulatory and statutory requirements, and preparing government reports for the ROHQ entity. Additionally, the Senior Accounting Officer will support day-to-day accounting and finance activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with all applicable standards

Job Description:

Japan Entity

  • Handle month-end closing reports for the Japan entity
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow)
  • Prepare special monthly reports such as Villa Owners Financial Statement, Staff Cost Summary, and others
  • Generate accurate and timely Daily Revenue Reports
  • Support completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare necessary adjustments
  • Coordinate resolution of tax and accounting issues identified during daily reclassification and revenue review
  • Prepare weekly reports for Online Travel Agencies
  • Assist management in account analysis as a business partner supporting various finance initiatives and projects

ROHQ Entity

Government Reports & Statutory Compliance

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely submission of tax reports
  • Prepare BIR Form 2307 for suppliers
  • File Income Tax Returns, VAT Returns, and Withholding Tax Returns
  • Generate and manage BIR Form 2307
  • Prepare Employees' Annual Alpha List
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of BIR EFPS (Electronic Filing and Payment System)

Statutory Benefits Compliance:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with government offices relevant to finance and accounting transactions
  • Prepare and maintain statutory reports and related documentation
  • Handle filing, payment, and compliance for: SSS (Social Security System), PhilHealth, HDMF (Pag-IBIG Fund).

Who We're Looking For:

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, statutory reporting, and financial accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR processes, and statutory benefits administration
  • With experience handling a team
  • Preferably with experience in regional finance set up
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
