Job Overview

As a Sr Manager Accounts Payable at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will play a key role in our Metro Manila team. You will coordinate invoice processing, ensuring outstanding accuracy and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a world-class organization that values innovation and excellence

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily interaction, training, direction, and oversight of staff activities to ensure coordination, accuracy, and timely delivery of work outputs.
  • Complete all tasks related to invoice processing and troubleshooting daily.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot invoice fallouts daily to ensure payment due date adherence.
  • Coordinate the timeliness and accuracy of invoice processing.
  • Support payment inquiries and manage daily workload distribution.
  • Adhere to Internal Audit guidelines and provide reporting as requested.
  • Ensure quality in customer service levels are maintained both internally and externally.
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required within the functional area.
  • Supervise and coordinate the development of staff members, including hiring, performance development, annual reviews, disciplinary actions, mentoring, personal development, and career advancement.
  • Perform the first review/approval of disbursements for your area of responsibility.

Skills Required

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial controls.
  • Effective training skills and team-building capabilities for rapid functional task ramp-up.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; strong oral and written communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading continuous process improvement projects with significant time or cost savings.
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of management, tailoring messages appropriately.
  • Capable of managing multiple assignments, prioritizing projects, and making timely decisions.
  • Diligent, producing accurate work and consistently meeting deadlines.

Education & Experience

  • Strong prior experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services in an Accounts Payable managerial function (5+ years).
  • Proficiency in Oracle, JDE, SAP, Concur, and Accounts Payable Workflow tools.
  • Proficient in English.
