Job Summary: Safety Officer III Is the key professional in the work environment. Safety officers provide safety management, advice, monitoring, and reporting in the workplace, and engage staff in programs that ensure safe practice in the workplace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support the HSSE manager/Operation team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSSE policies, guidelines and procedure to ensure that the department objectives are met.

  2. Ensure that workers on site receive suitable safety orientation about company safety policies/working at heights training and procedures including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards 1989/D. O and other D.O issued by the government including the Construction Safety and Health Program.

  3. Frequently monitor and inspect any health or safety aspect of the operation and preparation of HSSE safety observation report and submit to HSSE Manager.

  4. Conduct Monthly inspection of power tools & Full body harness and prepare the inspection report

  5. Conduct toolboxes talk as needed

  6. Ensure the PTW meets all safety requirements and implemented at site

  7. Weekly PPE inspection to the workers and submit the report to HSSE manager

  8. Report incident/accident or any update on site to HSSE Manager

  9. Prepare near miss report and submit to HSSE Manager

  10. Ensuring all the workers are in good/healthy condition prior to proceed the working at heights activity.

  11. Issue Work Stoppage Order (WSO) when necessary, based on the requirements and procedures provided by the OSH standards
