THE OPPORUNITY

An opportunity exists for a proactive, driven and career-focused Junior Accountant to join our dynamic reconstruction and insolvency team, and assist with our diverse range of clients.

You will be working directly with a Partner and Senior Manager on a broad range of formal insolvency appointments such as Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations and Receiverships in addition to personal Bankruptcy appointments and Personal Insolvency Agreements.

About the Role:

The focus of your role will be:

• Supporting the team with a range of corporate insolvency appointments
• Assist with preparation of standard documentation, word processing and checklist requirements
• Assist with bookkeeping functions, including bank reconciliations and transaction processing
• Assisting with creditor and debtor documentation
• Assisting in the running of files under supervision
• Statutory reporting
• Realising assets
• Conducting Investigations
• Liaising with creditors, directors and all stakeholders involved in various administrations
• Working as part of a team on a variety of cases
• Assisting with lodgements and reporting to ASIC and AFSA
• Reviewing and analysing financial information
• Drafting formal reports and correspondence to various stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

· Fluent in spoken and written English, and confident to use it for work;

· Bachelor of Science of Accountancy;

· Certified Public Accountant (preferred, but not required);

· A desire to grow with the firm;

· No insolvency experience required, however 2 years' experience at an accounting firm is necessary;

· Excellent time management skills;

· A passion for developing relationships and working with others;

· Strong levels of initiative and ownership to deliver exceptional outcomes;

· Strong English communication and report writing skills;

· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;

· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;

· Ability to meet and work towards deadlines;

· Ability to liaise with various stakeholders banks, lawyers, and other professionals;
