About the role


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team at RI Chemical Corporation in Jasaan Misamis Oriental. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organisation, contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis

  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents

  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reported

  • Provide support to the Finance team in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other analyses

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial information

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

  • 1-2 years of experience in a junior accounting or finance role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards

  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel)

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
