We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for an aggregate of numerous companies in Metro Manila and Davao that franchise branded food concepts.

The Accounting Assistant provides support to the accounting team by handling day-to-day financial tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and report preparation. This role ensures accurate and up-to-date financial records and assists in the preparation of budgets, audits, and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable, issue invoices, and follow up on late payments.
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Support tax audits, tax returns, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and update organized financial records and databases.
  • Assist in payroll record review and expense monitoring.
  • Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Process invoices and other accounting documents accurately and on time.
  • Assist senior accountants during month-end and year-end closings.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience (open to fresh graduates with strong internship exposure).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.

Work setup:

  • On-site reporting, Monday to Friday;
  • 8:00AM to 6:00PM
