Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant (Payables) is responsible for providing support in day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. The role ensures that vendor invoices, payments, and related documentation are properly recorded and compliant with company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and verify supplier invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process and record accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
  • Prepare check and payment vouchers for approval and release.
  • Maintain and organize records of all payables and related accounting documents.
  • Monitor due dates to ensure timely payment of obligations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of government reports and compliance requirements (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax).
  • Support accounting and finance teams during audits and month-end closings.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of BS in Accounting, Accounting Technology

Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in accounting, specifically handling Accounts Payable

Male or Female, No age limit

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge in basic accounting systems and processes
  • Tax processing and related tasks
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

Location: Tugbok, Davao City

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php18,000.00 per month
