We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with essential accounting tasks. This role is crucial to our daily operations and ensures our company remains compliant with all financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, analyze, and verify various financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, managing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
  • Assist with payroll processing and disbursements.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns and other required financial forms.
  • Support financial audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial records and files.

Qualifications

  • Education: An Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is required.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
