The Accounts Receivable Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions, and maintaining up-to-date customer accounts. This role supports the finance team in managing collections, reconciling accounts, and ensuring proper documentation of receivables to maintain healthy cash flow for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and post customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and issue billing statements, invoices, and official receipts.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all receivable transactions.
  • Coordinate with the sales and accounting teams to verify billing details and collections.
  • Assist in preparing monthly aging reports and other financial summaries.
  • Support audit requirements by providing necessary documentation.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
