
Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable: entering invoices, processing payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare and maintain financial documents, such as invoices, bills, purchase orders, and bank statements.
- Perform data entry and update accounting records in software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Excel).
- Help with bank reconciliations and ensure records match actual bank balances.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- File and organize financial documents for auditing and record-keeping purposes.
- Assist in processing payroll and maintaining employee expense records.
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding payments and statements.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required by the accounting or finance team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good math and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
- Experience with ERP or financial systems.
- Knowledge of tax regulations or payroll systems is a plus.

8:00am - 5:00pm
