The Associate - General Accounting is responsible for assisting in various aspects of general accounting functions within the organization. This role involves supporting the accounting team in tasks related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The Associate will contribute to month-end close activities, journal entries, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Financial Reporting Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Support the analysis of financial data and preparation of financial reports

Month-End Close Activities:

  • Participate in month-end close processes, including preparation of adjusting entries and accruals.

  • Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies.

  • Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles.

  • Review and analyze account balances and transactions for accuracy.

Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in financial analysis activities, including variance analysis and trend analysis.

  • Provide support in forecasting and budgeting processes.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial data.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems.

  • Assist in implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and timeliness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, tax, and operations, on accounting-related matters.

  • Provide support and assistance to internal stakeholders on accounting issues.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment and coordination.
