Job Overview:

The Operations Supervisor supports the Operations Manager by overseeing daily operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring tasks are carried out according to project plans. This role focuses on execution, team supervision, and on-site coordination, while working closely with the OM for decisions, escalations, and major project concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Supervision & Daily Coordination

  • Supervise the team or subcontractors on their daily activities and deployment.
  • Ensure teams understand job assignments, timelines, and safety requirements.
  • Motivate team and help maintain a positive working environment.

2. Site Monitoring & Task Execution

  • Monitor ongoing site activities to ensure tasks follow project plans and quality standards.
  • Identify on-site issues and escalate complex concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in implementing OM-approved schedules and work instructions.

3. Technical Support (Basic Level)

  • Review and understand project plans, OSP drawings, and work instructions provided by engineers and the OM.
  • Ensure teams follow the approved routes, designs, and splicing diagrams.
  • Provide basic technical guidance to teams as needed (not full engineering responsibility).

4. Resource Coordination

  • Check availability of manpower, tools, vehicles, PPE, and materials before deployment.
  • Report shortages or equipment issues to the Operations Manager for action.
  • Ensure tools and PPE are used properly and safely maintained.

5. Coordination With Departments & Subcontractors

  • Coordinate simple site concerns (material pick-up, access, minor design clarifications).
  • Relay major design changes, ROW issues, or client concerns to the OM for decision-making.
  • Support communication between field teams, warehouse, engineering, and subcontractors.

6. Risk & Issue Reporting

  • Identify daily operational concerns such as weather delays, material shortages, and safety risks.
  • Immediately inform the OM about issues that could affect delivery or schedule.
  • Help implement solutions once approved by the OM.

7. Meetings & Documentation

  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and relay updates from the OM.
  • Prepare basic reports such as daily accomplishments, delays, and manpower deployment.
  • Submit reports to OM for consolidation and approval.

8. Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor team attendance, output, and quality of work.
  • Recommend coaching or corrective action to the OM when needed.

9. Other Duties

  • Perform tasks assigned by the Operations Manager to support smooth operations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).

· Experience in Telecom is a MUST

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
