About the role

Culinary Events Incorporation' is seeking a talented and experienced Deputy Chief Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team in our Ortigas, Pasig City office. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records and reporting.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Chief Accountant in overseeing all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives

What we're looking for

  • Must be a CPA
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the F&B or hotel industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop a team
