As a Financial Analyst – Manufacturing & Import Operations, you will play an essential role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Your responsibilities include managing general ledgers, reconciling accounts, preparing invoices, maintaining purchase orders, and assisting in budgeting and financial reporting. This role requires a solid accounting background, strong analytical skills, and keen attention to detail to ensure all transactions comply with company policies. You will also provide day-to-day support to the Controller/CEO in accounting operations and assist with employee travel arrangements when needed.

What You'll Be Working On

Accounting

  • Process a high volume of invoices accurately and on time
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
  • Issue payments to vendors, factories, and manufacturers (both local and overseas)
  • Review and route invoices for approval, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Record invoices for utilities, leases, and other operational expenses
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements and vendor accounts
  • Support budgeting, book balancing, and purchase order maintenance to ensure accurate financial records
  • Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
  • Maintain vendor records, respond to inquiries, and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Ensure proper documentation and assist in audit preparation
  • Monitor accounts for timely payments and potential discounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for smooth financial operations

Travel Planning & Management

  • Organize and manage all aspects of employee business travel
  • Obtain CEO approvals for travel requests
  • Book flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel arrangements
  • Prepare and manage detailed itineraries for individual and group travel
  • Handle travel changes, cancellations, and rebookings promptly
  • Maintain complete travel documentation, forms, and approvals
  • Record all trips in the company's public calendar

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within manufacturing, importing, logistics, or wholesale industries
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and strong Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Background in manufacturing, logistics, or wholesale environments
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based accounting operations or working with U.S. clients
  • Familiarity with import-related transactions and inventory accounting
  • Knowledge of 3-way matching (purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices)
  • Understanding of sales tax compliance and vendor documentation (e.g., W-9s)
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and handle time-sensitive tasks with urgency
