Job Summary

The MEPFS Engineer (Trade) is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary systems within the hotel property. This role ensures that all MEPFS systems are functioning efficiently, compliant with hotel standards and local codes, and supportive of seamless hotel operations and guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the implementation, repair, and preventive maintenance of all hotel MEPFS systems (HVAC, power supply, water systems, fire alarm, sprinklers, sanitary lines, etc.).
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants during hotel construction, renovation, and upgrade projects.
  • Review and approve MEPFS plans, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure alignment with hotel operational requirements and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure timely corrective actions for MEPFS-related issues affecting hotel operations.
  • Monitor energy consumption and recommend measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure full compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and environmental health standards.
  • Support the Engineering Manager/Chief Engineer in preparing budgets, reports, and project timelines related to MEPFS works.
  • Lead the testing, commissioning, and turnover of new hotel facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Licensed Engineer preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of MEPFS experience, preferably in the hotel/hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems operations, safety codes, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
