Accounting Manager

Salary Range: PHP 60,000 – PHP 80,000 per month (PH-based, remote)

The Accounting Manager leads the accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost optimization, and timely execution of all accounting responsibilities. This role oversees the Accounting Associate and provides financial insights to support business goals and strategic decision-making for the company.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Manages: Accounting Associate

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee month-end close, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and coordinate with the CPA for taxes and filings.
  • Cash Flow & Payments: Manage cash forecasts, monitor payments, and approve vendor invoices to ensure on-time disbursements and proper documentation.
  • Expense & Cost Management: Review recurring expenses and identify savings opportunities, collaborating with the EA team on cost-optimization efforts.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise and support the Accounting Associate, ensuring entries, reconciliations, and reports are accurate and timely.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support pricing, vendor, and capital expenditure analyses; develop dashboards and financial insights for management.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with full-cycle close ownership.
  • Skilled in QuickBooks, Wave, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Measure of Success

  • Month-end close and reports completed accurately and on time.
  • Payments processed on schedule with no overdue balances.
  • Documented savings from cost reviews and vendor negotiations.
