Civil Engineer (Full-Time, Remote)

• Role Summary

1.1 Responsible for supporting real estate development projects through site evaluations, rehabilitation planning, and infrastructure design in a remote-first environment.

1.2 Provides expert civil engineering oversight to ensure structural integrity and feasibility of projects from conception through completion.

1.3 Must have a strong technical background in civil engineering, including hands-on experience with construction oversight and structural evaluation.

1.4 Preferably experienced in the U.S. or Philippine real estate markets and familiar with the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) investment model (a plus, not required).

1.5 Full-time commitment of approximately 180–200 hours per month is expected (compensation details not provided).

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 Provide civil engineering leadership for real estate development and infrastructure projects, managing design and construction efforts to ensure safe, timely, and sustainable execution.

2.2 Conduct thorough site investigations and feasibility studies (analyzing maps, surveys, soil reports, etc.) to inform project planning and rehabilitation strategies.

2.3 Develop and review engineering designs, blueprints, and site plans for land development, infrastructure (e.g. roads, drainage, utilities), and structural modifications, ensuring they meet technical specifications and project requirements.

2.4 Oversee and coordinate rehabilitation and construction activities by liaising with on-site teams and contractors, providing guidance to resolve any emerging problems or deficiencies during the project lifecycle.

2.5 Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, permit conditions, and safety standards, and prepare the necessary technical documentation and reports for regulatory approvals.

2.6 Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to align civil engineering work with overall project goals, and monitor progress to provide status updates and quality assurances throughout the project.

2.7 Assist in project budgeting and planning by evaluating material requirements, assessing potential risks and costs, and recommending cost-effective engineering solutions.

• Requirements and Qualifications

3.1 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

3.2 Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).

years of professional experience in civil engineering (e.g. construction management, structural engineering, or similar roles), with a proven track record in overseeing construction projects and conducting structural evaluations.

3.4 Preferred but not required, experience in or knowledge of the U.S. and/or Philippine real estate markets, including familiarity with local building codes and regulations (highly desirable).

3.5 Familiarity with the BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) real estate investment strategy is an advantage.

3.6 Proficiency in civil engineering design and visualization software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings

3.7 Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of handling project scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams/

3.8 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team and report on project progress clearly/

3.9 Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently in a remote-work environment.
