Job Summary:

The Sales Operations Manager plays a critical role in optimizing and supporting the performance of the sales organization within the medical distribution industry. This position is responsible for managing sales processes, systems, analytics, and cross-functional coordination to ensure efficient operations, accurate forecasting, and effective execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Process Optimization

  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient sales processes and workflows tailored to the medical distribution environment.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the sales cycle from lead generation to order fulfillment.
  • Support compliance with healthcare regulations and internal SOPs throughout the sales process.

2. Sales Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Provide actionable insights and dashboards to sales leadership.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and quota setting.

3. CRM & Technology Management

  • Train and support the sales team on CRM best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to improve tool efficiency.

4. Inventory & Order Management Alignment

  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and product availability.
  • Coordinate with customer service and warehouse teams for timely order processing and delivery.
  • Monitor backorders and support sales team in setting customer expectations.

5. Sales Enablement & Support

  • Create and distribute sales materials, product information, and training content.
  • Onboard new sales team members and ensure proper access to tools and resources.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams to align promotional activities with sales strategies.

6. Strategic Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead or support strategic initiatives such as territory planning, sales compensation planning, or expansion into new regions.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, finance, regulatory, and logistics teams.
  • Support bid/tender processes in coordination with key account managers and government procurement teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Healthcare Management, or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare distribution sectors.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, data analytics, and sales planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, medical terminology, and regulatory requirements is a strong advantage.
