Merchandising Planning and Control Supervisor plays a key role in aligning the company's financial objectives with its inventory, pricing, and promotional strategies. This position is essential for maximizing sales and profitability while minimizing inventory risks.

Primary Responsibilities

Planning

Create seasonal and annual plans: Develop strategic merchandise plans that include sales forecasts, inventory investment budgets (Open-to-Buy), and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Analyze sales trends: Review historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.

Forecast demand: Collaborate with buyers and marketing teams to project customer demand and determine accurate inventory levels.

Develop assortment plans: Build a balanced product assortment by brand, category, and price point that aligns with financial targets and customer expectations.

Establish pricing strategies: Recommend pricing frameworks, markdowns, and promotional activities to optimize margins and effectively manage inventory.

Controlling

Manage inventory: Monitor stock levels and product flow to avoid stockouts and overstocking, coordinating closely with supply chain and allocation teams.

Analyze performance: Prepare and evaluate weekly and monthly reports on key metrics such as sales, margin, and stock turn. Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders.

Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB): Oversee and adjust purchasing budgets throughout the season based on real-time sales and inventory performance.

Coordinate with suppliers and logistics: Ensure on-time deliveries and address any issues with vendors or distribution centers.

Manage budgets: Oversee merchandising-related budgets and ensure activities are aligned with financial targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Analytical and quantitative abilities: Strong capabilities in data analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and interpreting numerical data.

Business acumen: Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, market trends, and consumer behavior.

Communication and leadership: Ability to clearly communicate complex data, work effectively with cross-functional teams, and influence key decision-makers.

Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field, along with relevant experience in retail planning, buying, or merchandise management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php40,000.00 per month
