Location: Head Office, AVIRE Tower, P. Tuazon Blvd., Quezon City | Division: Enterprise Support Services | Reports to: Head of People Support and Culture

The
IT Specialist
is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the organization's computer systems, networks, and hardware. This role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of all IT infrastructure, helping to resolve technical issues for employees and maintain the security and integrity of the company's data and systems. The role will also support the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) in implementing data protection policies, monitoring compliance, and ensuring adherence to the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.

What You'll Do

As our IT Specialist, you will:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Support enterprise applications: Provide functional and technical support for business-critical applications, including ERP, HRIS, and other enterprise systems, ensuring smooth operations, user access, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors or developers as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain systems: Configure and deploy new hardware and install and update software applications and operating systems. This also involves performing routine maintenance and system upgrades.
• Manage user accounts, emails, and access rights: Oversee the full lifecycle of user accounts.
• Shall support the DPO in implementing and monitoring compliance with JCVA's data protection framework.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols (firewalls, endpoint protection, access control, password policies, phishing prevention).
• Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding: Manage the end-to-end IT process for all employees.
• Develop and maintain documentation: Create and regularly update comprehensive documentation for all IT procedures, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain IT inventory and software license tracking: Develop and maintain an up-to-date record of all IT assets, from hardware to software and licenses.
• Manage IT-related contracts and service agreements: Track renewal dates, reviewing terms and conditions, and liaising with vendors/suppliers.
• Coordinate system maintenance and upgrades: Plan and schedule system maintenance and upgrades.
• Performs assigned work and other responsibilities associated with this position, as may be required.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or specialist role.
3. At least one professional IT certification (e.g., Network+, CCNA, or equivalent).
4. Additional certifications in cybersecurity, system administration, or cloud technologies (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, RHCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer) are considered an advantage.
5. Exposure to data privacy compliance work or supporting a Data Privacy Officer (DPO) is an advantage.

Core Competencies:

1. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration.
2. Expertise in network infrastructure and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking.
3. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and incident response, including antivirus/antimalware management, firewall configuration, and data encryption.
4. Understanding of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and practical application of IT controls to support compliance.
5. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues with a wide range of computer hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and business software (MS Office 365, Google Workspace, ERP, HRIS, and other enterprise applications).
6. Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk) and remote desktop support software.
