Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate's responsibility is to support the Business Development Manager in driving sales, client support, and account management. This includes preparing proposals, quotations, and feasibility studies, managing client communications, and ensuring timely follow-ups to strengthen relationships and support business growth.
II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Sales, Client Support and Account Management Activities:
- Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and feasibility studies for EMEA clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams on pricing, timelines, and project inputs.
- Manage client accounts, CRM records, and sales pipelines.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, and new partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.
- Provide timely updates to the Business Development Manager on progress, opportunities, and client concerns.
Collaboration, Strategy & Project Coordination:
- Support the BDM in client meetings, calls, and industry events.
- Participate in strategy sessions to improve service delivery.
- Coordinate communications with Manila-based sales and operations teams.
- Ensure smooth project handover and transition to operations.
- Collaborate with project management, operations, and marketing teams to meet client needs.
General Activities:
- Constantly identifies financial and other risks to the Company and reports these quickly and accurately to Business Development Manager.
- Maintains the public image of the Company.
- Contribute to entire dataSpring (and, or other local offices) grow as a member and an employee, besides the regional sales tasks assigned.
III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
- This is an office environment and typical physical demands apply.
- Must be willing to work on mid-shift (EMEA hours).
Education and Minimum Qualifications Needed:
- Very Good written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to display empathy and is able to get along well with different personalities and cultures
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Global outlook and cross-cultural experience is preferred.
- Must have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Must have professionalism, passion to succeed, and a motivation to reach higher goals
- Ability to deliver results under pressure and show dedication to client services and business development.
- Relevant sales achievement in previous sales roles is a plus.
Required Experience:
- At least 2 - 3 years experience in Business Development and Account Management
- Market Research industry experience is preferred.
