We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be an integral part of our site and corporate HR operations, providing full-spectrum support to manpower, site operations, and overall company initiatives.

Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for delivering HR services through recruitment, timekeeping, employee relations, compliance, and workforce management. This role supports site operations by ensuring proper deployment and documentation of manpower, aligning with GSL's responsibility as General Contractor to provide construction equipment, site security, and overall site management, while coordinating with other contractors as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of workers and staff (skilled, semi-skilled, supervisors, engineers, and support teams).
• Manage timekeeping, attendance, and deployment records to support payroll and client reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and mandatory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Support site operations by coordinating HR-related requirements for manpower, security, and site-wide activities.
• Handle employee relations by addressing grievances, enforcing discipline, and maintaining workforce stability.
• Conduct orientations, toolbox talks, and HR-related briefings in coordination with Safety and Site Operations.
• Maintain HR records, contracts, and 201 files for all employees and project-based staff.
• Prepare HR-related reports for management, including manpower utilization and compliance reports.
• Provide support in HSSE programs by promoting employee welfare, security, and safe workplace practices.
• Act as liaison between site personnel, management, and external agencies on HR-related concerns.
• Perform other HR duties in support of site operations and company requirements.

Basic Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years HR experience, preferably in the construction industry or project-based setting.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE standards, and project employment practices.
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with workers, supervisors, management, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS or digital timekeeping systems is an advantage.
• High attention to detail, with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Must be willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, general contracting, or large-scale project HR functions.
• Familiarity with site security protocols, equipment-related HR coordination, and multi-contractor site operations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance company policies with workforce welfare.
• Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
