Platform and UX Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Oversee the strategy and implementation of technology platforms to support the e-commerce business unit, enhance customer experience, and optimize performance within budget constraints. Provide technical leadership across front-end development, platform operations, and cross-functional collaboration for seamless digital execution.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership and Platform Management

• Takes the lead role in scoping and gathering internal business requirements -- i.e. systems, technical, creative and user specifications -- and working with external partners and providers to select appropriate technology platforms, to oversee the development of web designs and application of software solutions that facilitate the execution of E-Commerce strategies and achievement of desired customer experience within budget.
• Leads theme and front-end development, working closely with Production Designers and the Creative Manager to ensure that design outputs are converted into codes that will populate the website and ensure accessibility.
• Oversees customizations on off the shelf applications if needed to meet business requirements.
• Keeps up to date on all technical and algorithmic developments for the selected platforms, applications, social media and search services that may be required to keep the system robust and responsive to fast-changing customer and user needs and evolving technology.

User Training and Support

• Oversees the development of user training materials and provides timely user training to different groups within the E-Commerce team and other business units in the Company; ensures that all team tools and platforms for customer service, content, sales and marketing are effectively deployed.
• Addresses team tools and system problems and issues, responds to user questions and concerns, and ensures timely troubleshooting and resolution of platform issues and errors raised by users.
• Leads in creating internal processes aligned with platform management and web design so that users utilize tools and platforms accurately and efficiently.

Platform and System Maintenance

• Maintains overall technical ownership of all technology projects involving the platform, e.g. its requirements, deadlines, workflow and schedules. Ensures that he/ she has a detailed appreciation and technical understanding of work status of such projects.
• Ensures the creation of high-level documentation for all installed technology platform and applications.
• Maintains and enhances the Shopify Plus e-Commerce websites over time in accordance with international best practices.
• Works closely with in-house production designers to ensure clean codes are written when complex customizations are required for the front end.
• Performs code reviews before deployment and arranges system testing and quality assurance together with the Information Technology group
• Secures and maintains reliable backups for the following data on the platform

i. Customer management list

ii. Inventory lists

iii. Product listings

iv. Sales, order and payment tracking data

v. Financial data

vi. Reports and numeric results

• Provides security of the platform in line with company policy and practice

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Software/Web Development or similar discipline
• 5+ years of ecommerce web development experience
• 3 or more Shopify Plus project implementation experience
• Comfortable researching and adopting new web technologies
• Experience in leading a team and/ or cross-functional projects

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to Php60,000.00 per month
