Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. This role involves overseeing kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, monitoring food quality and consistency, and assisting with inventory control and scheduling. The Kitchen Supervisor works closely with the Head Chef and management team to maintain smooth and efficient back-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Ensure timely and consistent food preparation according to company standards
  • Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing food waste
  • Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job guidance and training
  • Help manage shift schedules and delegate daily responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
  • Support the Head Chef in implementing and maintaining kitchen procedures

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or senior kitchen staff role (e.g., Line Cook, Sous Chef)
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills and a positive, hands-on attitude
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and assist across kitchen functions as needed
