As an Excitation Commissioning Engineer based in Paranaque, you will play an integral part in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality commissioning services for critical infrastructure projects.

• Contribute actively to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities for various projects, ensuring all tasks are executed according to established timelines and specifications.
• Participate in internal project review meetings by providing valuable insights on commissioning progress and identifying areas for process enhancement or risk mitigation.
• Coordinate site-based activities with a focus on finalising customer acceptance certification while recommending effective solutions tailored to evolving business and client needs.
• Provide comprehensive information related to commissioning assignments during meetings with customers, ensuring clear communication channels are maintained at all times.
• Offer constructive feedback to the wider organisation by sharing lessons learned from each project phase, supporting continuous improvement across processes and systems.
• Utilise standardised procedures to guarantee that all commissioning work complies fully with relevant safety regulations as well as contractual obligations.
• Conduct thorough risk and opportunity assessments throughout the commissioning phase to ensure robust implementation of plans while proactively identifying potential risks related to contract terms, quality benchmarks, programme schedules or costs.
• Recommend practical resolutions for any identified risks or issues during project execution, contributing positively towards successful project outcomes.
• Initiate and monitor risk mitigation strategies within your area of responsibility while keeping all stakeholders informed about associated technical risks or changes.
• Support ongoing improvements in project process design by leveraging your technical expertise in excitation systems and electrical engineering.

What You Bring

• A degree in an Engineering discipline is required for this position as it forms the foundation for understanding complex excitation systems.
• Approximately five years of hands-on experience in commissioning excitation systems as well as broader electrical systems is essential for success in this role.
• Demonstrated expertise in excitation technology alongside familiarity with LV (Low Voltage) and MV (Medium Voltage) switchgears, transformers, and protection relays is highly valued.
• Proficiency in maintenance routines, testing protocols, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and overall commissioning processes for excitation equipment is necessary.
• Previous experience working within sectors such as oil & gas, chemicals & refining, offshore environments or power & water industries would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English are required due to regular interaction with clients and colleagues both locally and internationally.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Philippines as well as overseas is important given the nature of project-based assignments.
