Primary Functions:

Leads team in choosing the suppliers and the merchandise or services needed to meet company and customer needs. Uses their expertise and negotiation skills to meet with vendors, work out contract terms and their decisions have a major impact on the company's operations.

Regular Tasks:

Directs purchasing agents and buyers throughout the process of evaluating suppliers, conducting interviews with vendors, negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier and vendor contracts.

Monitors what the company purchases, delivers and spends to ensure that they are within performance and quality standards.

Ensures that the company obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely basis Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably.

Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.

Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.

Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company Identifies and researches potential new suppliers

Researches new products and services to meet company's goals.

Assesses total costs of company purchases.

Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels.

Reports to the top management all the procurement activities and cost.

All other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management,Engineering, Economics, Applied Science, or a Related Field.

More than 3 years of supervisory and managerial experience.

Understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures.

Logistics Skills, Strategic Planning Abilities,

Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills

Good Business Instincts

Excellent analytical and mathematics Skills

Good NegotiatorFinancial Analysis Skills
