About the role

Reporting into the Engineering team, Grand Apex Constructions Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a QA/QC Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of the company's mechanical engineering projects and processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans for mechanical engineering projects
  • Conducting site inspections, testing, and audits to verify adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Analysing data and generating detailed reports to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Collaborating with project managers, designers, and contractors to address and mitigate quality concerns
  • Providing technical guidance and training to the construction team on quality best practices
  • Staying updated on the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering QA/QC
  • Continuously improving quality systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar QA/QC role within the construction or engineering industry
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and experience in implementing QA/QC processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
