The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of office facilities, equipment, and building systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable working environment. The technician will diagnose utility and equipment issues, recommend repair plans, and ensure all building improvements operate efficiently. A strong understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems is essential to support critical maintenance tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose problems in utilities, appliances, and building systems and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors as needed for specialized repair work.
  • Maintain records of maintenance tasks and repair history.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems (required).
  • Basic mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with general building maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
