Electrician cum Building Maintenance Technician

Electrician will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. To perform in this role you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Performing general electrical maintenance.
  • Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
  • Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
  • Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.

Building/Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields such as carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building but not limited to : skilled carpentry, electrical , painting, plastering , dry walling, plumbing , air conditioning and mechanical work, etc
  • Installation and wiring of electrical control, convenience outlets, and lighting systems.
  • Preventive and Corrective maintenance of equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.
  • Receiving and responding to reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on the building
  • Testing and recommending new maintenance products
  • Dealing with incoming work requests
  • Inspecting existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven work experience as a Electrician or similar role
  • Preferably with EIM NC II is a plus
  • At least High School Graduate
  • Must be physically and mentally fit
  • Knowledge on operating, repairs and maintenance of facility and equipment
  • Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues
