Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of all production machinery, equipment, and facility utilities. This includes ensuring that all machines are operating efficiently to support continuous production, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance work within the office or warehouse (e.g., air conditioning units, electrical fixtures, and lighting).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment and Machine Maintenance

  • Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of all production machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Keep maintenance logs and records of all repairs, replacements, and servicing activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers or service providers for parts replacement or major repairs when needed.

2. Facility and Utility Maintenance

  • Perform basic repair and maintenance work within the facility, including air conditioning units, lighting, electrical wiring, and plumbing.
  • Ensure proper functioning of utilities to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
  • Assist in setting up or relocating machines and equipment when required.

3. Safety and Compliance

  • Follow and promote safety procedures and standards when operating or repairing machines.
  • Report and address any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with company safety policies and relevant regulations.

4. Support Functions

  • Assist the production team during equipment setup or troubleshooting.
  • Help in monitoring spare parts inventory and request replenishment as needed.
  • Provide support during audits or inspections related to facility maintenance or equipment.

Qualifications:

  • At least Technical/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology.
  • With experience in machine maintenance, electrical or mechanical repair (preferably in a production or manufacturing setup).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, basic welding, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and willing to perform hands-on tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
