Reporting to Drill Maintenance Supervisor, the Drill Mechanic is accountable and responsible for the repair, performance of PMS schedules and systematic troubleshooting of hydraulic drill.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform major and minor repairs, PMS and systematic trouble shooting of hydraulic drill including inspection of unit undergoing preventive maintenance.
  • Perform reconditioning of hydraulic drill components.
  • Conduct systematic troubleshooting of major drill components.
  • Lead most of major repairs on site as the need arises depending on the given instructions by Supervisor.
  • Conduct minor electrical failures i.e., replacement of bulbs/fuses, welding jobs and minor air conditioning system troubleshooting.
  • Conduct other hydraulic drill related jobs as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Prepare and submit daily accomplishment report.
  • Record all service meter reading of all handled repairs for recording purposes.
  • Coordinate and report to immediate supervisor on the status of ongoing repair.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • High school graduate, Bachelor Degree holder preferred.
  • At least two (2) years related experience.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Creative, forward thinker.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • A reliable professional who follows organization and department procedures, completes tasks in a timely manner.
