POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards. This role ensures the smooth operation of utilities and engineering services that support the hotel's guests, staff, and overall operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the engineering/maintenance team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and local building codes.
  • Supervise preventive maintenance programs for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and other hotel equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain building structures, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and outdoor facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain fire safety systems and conduct regular emergency drills.
  • Coordinate with government agencies for inspections and certifications.
  • Monitor expenses and control costs while maintaining quality standards.

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or equivalent.
  • With experience in engineering or maintenance, ideally in hotel industry
  • Must be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
