Senior Datacenter Operations Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to support the operational quality, reliability, and efficiency of regional data center facilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of assigned sites, including troubleshooting complex issues related to high- and low-voltage power systems, precision cooling infrastructure, fire protection systems, and environmental monitoring. You will develop and maintain emergency response plans, lead regular emergency drills to strengthen incident management capabilities, and oversee training programs to enhance the technical expertise and safety awareness of on-site teams.

You will also drive energy efficiency initiatives, optimize equipment operating parameters, and implement energy management strategies to reduce overall power consumption. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about mission-critical infrastructure and continuous improvement in data center environments.

Other comprehensive administrative and support tasks may be assigned as needed.

Key Requirements:

•Resides in or near Lipa City

•Available for full-time, on-site work in data center environments

•Holds a valid driver's license or can obtain one within a reasonable timeframe

•Educational Attainment: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical,

Electronics), Information Technology, or other related technical fields

•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong documentation and reporting

skills

•Strong communication and learning abilities in both English and Tagalog

•Relevant working experience in data center operations, critical facility management, or

infrastructure maintenance is strongly preferred

•Demonstrates good character, reliability, and professional work habits

•Certifications (Preferred 1 or more):

Licensed Electrical Engineer or Registered Master Electrician (Philippines)

High-Voltage Switching Operations Certification

HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Certification or equivalent

experience in precision cooling systems

Fire Safety Practitioner Certification or BFP-accredited fire safety training

Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Certificate

First Aid and Emergency Response Training

•If the candidate has prior work experience, they are required to provide a record or certificate of

the evaluation or performance review from their most recent direct supervisor at their previous

company.

Functions and Responsibilities

•Oversee and ensure the operational quality, stability, and compliance of assigned regional data

centers and critical facilities

•Provide expert-level technical support for troubleshooting issues in high- and low-voltage

power distribution, UPS systems, precision cooling (CRAC units, in-row cooling), and fire

detection and suppression infrastructure

•Develop, maintain, and regularly update data center emergency response plans and business

continuity procedures

•Lead the organization and execution of emergency drills and simulations to enhance readiness

and improve incident management capabilities

•Organize and deliver safety, operational, and technical training programs to strengthen the

skills, professional competence, and safety awareness of operations and maintenance personnel

•Promote and implement energy-saving initiatives by optimizing equipment operating

parameters, monitoring energy usage, and executing energy management measures to reduce

operational consumption and support sustainability goals

•Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to

operational standards, service level agreements, and project timelines

•Conduct regular site inspections and compliance checks in line with corporate standards and

local regulations

Job Skills & Qualifications

•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and

presentations

•Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and PyCharm Community Edition for data logging,

analysis, and technical record management

•Ability to use Python for basic data processing, automation scripts, and operational analysis

•Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of managing interactions across multiple

stakeholders and functions

•Detail-oriented, responsible, and organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a mission-critical environment

•Licensed Electrical Engineer or Registered Master Electrician
