The People Operations Specialist (Rewards & Benefits) is responsible for managing and enhancing the company's compensation and benefits programs to ensure fairness, competitiveness, and compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining employee satisfaction, supporting payroll accuracy, and driving data-informed improvements in total rewards practices. The ideal candidate has a strong background in compensation structure, benefits administration, and government compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation Management

  • Administer and maintain the company's salary structure, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Support compensation benchmarking, job evaluations, and salary review exercises.
  • Collaborate with managers and Finance to prepare and validate data for salary adjustments, promotions, and annual performance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee compensation records.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR) and ensure timely processing and compliance.
  • Administer company-sponsored benefits such as HMO, group insurance, and leave programs.
  • Manage vendor coordination for benefits providers and ensure efficient claims handling and membership updates.
  • Educate employees on benefits policies and respond to related inquiries.

People Operations Support

  • Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure accurate reflection of benefits and deductions.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, status changes, and offboarding in relation to rewards and benefits.
  • Generate periodic reports on compensation, benefits utilization, and headcount costs.
  • Assist in audits, compliance checks, and HR policy implementation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance reward programs and recommend initiatives that support employee engagement and retention.
  • Keep abreast of labor laws, market trends, and industry best practices related to compensation and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in compensation and benefits, payroll, or HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and government-mandated benefits.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; experience with HRIS or payroll systems is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in compensation structure design or salary benchmarking.
  • Background in HR analytics or total rewards strategy.
  • Exposure to fintech, startup, or fast-scaling business environments.
