Maintenance Personnel or Utility Staff helps ensure that office, commercial, or institutional premises are clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained. They carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of building interiors and exteriors, as well as surrounding areas such as gardens and parking spaces.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

He shall be responsible for a wide range of support and maintenance tasks, which may include the following:

  • Responding to job orders or instructions issued by immediate supervisors or department heads
  • Performing minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs or repairing basic lighting fixtures
  • Conducting general repair work (basic carpentry, masonry, or painting as needed)
  • Assisting with the maintenance of plumbing, such as addressing minor leaks or unclogging drains
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas including gardens, parking areas, fences, and walkways
  • Operating and maintaining tools and equipment used for cleaning and repairs
  • Keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies and requesting replenishment as needed
  • Recording completed tasks and submitting accomplishment reports or updating the maintenance logbook
  • Other admin tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least high school graduate or TESDA-certified in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Plumbing, or Carpentry)
  • Preferably with experience in general maintenance or utility work
  • Basic knowledge of tools, building systems, and repair procedures
  • Physically fit and able to work on foot or carry equipment
  • Can work with minimal supervision and follow instructions
  • Trustworthy, punctual, and dependable
  • Willing to report near Happy Valley, Labangon Cebu City
