Job Summary

The Maintenance Staff is responsible for the upkeep and smooth operation of the establishment's facilities, focusing on routine and minor civil, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and technical maintenance works. This role ensures that equipment, infrastructure, and utilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is versatile, proactive, and capable of resolving facility-related concerns with efficiency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

1. Civil and Structural Maintenance

· Carry out repairs and adjustments such as patching walls, repainting, carpentry, and simple masonry tasks.

· Maintain the structural integrity and cleanliness of the establishment's physical spaces.

2. Plumbing Works

· Perform plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining water fixtures, etc.

· Assist in routine inspection of pipelines, tanks, and plumbing systems.

3. Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance

· Handle electrical works, including replacing light fixtures, repairing outlets, and troubleshooting wiring issues.

· Maintain mechanical systems such as fans, pumps, and air-conditioning units through routine servicing and basic repairs.

4. Technical and Equipment Support

· Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and appliances, ensuring they function properly.

· Conduct technical checks and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.

5. Preventive Maintenance and Inspections

· Perform regular facility inspections to detect potential issues early.

· Maintain a log of all completed repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.

· Report any major concerns beyond scope to management for escalation.

6. Health, Safety, and Compliance

· Follow safety protocols during maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with building standards.

· Use proper tools, signage, and protective equipment to prevent accidents.

7. Coordination and Communication

· Coordinate with management and team members regarding maintenance requests, schedules, and updates.

· Provide assistance across departments when facility-related support is needed.

Qualifications

Experience:

· At least 2 years' experience in general maintenance, covering civil, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical works.

· Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Vocational or technical training in maintenance-related fields is an advantage.

· National Certification/s in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical maintenance are desirable.

Skills & Abilities:

· Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for minor facility issues.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance tasks.

Job Type: Full-time
