Payroll Compliance & Governance Specialist

About the Role

As the Strada Pay Compliance Specialist, you will be a key figure in ensuring our Strada Pay solution remains legally compliant and operationally effective across all countries of deployment. In this critical coordinating role, you'll serve as the central compliance lead, working closely with Payroll Country Champions, third-party vendors, and internal teams to drive legislative adherence, mitigate risks, and ensure that every regulatory requirement is planned for, implemented, and validated.

You'll bring structure and governance to a dynamic environment, managing complex compliance roadmaps and documentation standards while empowering a global network of payroll champions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Leadership & Coordination - Act as the central orchestrator of payroll legal compliance across regions—tracking, planning, and overseeing the implementation of all legislative changes into the Strada Pay system.
  • Governance & Risk Mitigation - Provide governance to Payroll Country Champions and ensure robust, standardized processes are followed to minimize risk and uphold the integrity of our global payroll operations.
  • Third-Party Collaboration - Work closely with local payroll vendors and service providers to ensure all country-specific legal requirements are incorporated and maintained in the system.
  • Change Management & Resource Planning - Manage legislative change pipelines, aligning resources and timelines to deliver, test, and deploy updates seamlessly.
  • Process Ownership & Documentation - Maintain and continuously improve compliance documentation, process workflows, and audit trails—ensuring that every aspect of our compliance framework is current, accessible, and actionable.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Communicate to stakeholders on delivered and upcoming changes to the country solution, cascading the information to relevant teams across Strada.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll operations, compliance, or project management in a multi-country or global environment
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Highly organized, with proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent documentation and process improvement skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with a continuous improvement mindset
