About the role

Join the dynamic team at WEDDING RESOURCES AND EVENTS MANAGEMENT CORPORATION' as an Asian Cuisine Chef. This full-time position is based in Metro Manila and will see you leading the preparation and delivery of exceptional Asian-inspired cuisine for high-profile events and functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and prepare a variety of authentic Asian dishes, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the events management team to design creative, on-trend menus that delight clients and guests
  • Train and supervise a team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Source quality ingredients and manage kitchen inventory to support menu offerings
  • Continuously research food trends and techniques to enhance the company's culinary offerings

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional chef, with a strong background in Asian cuisine
  • Formal culinary training or qualification, preferably in Asian/Fusion cuisine
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and inventory management
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a kitchen team
  • Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
