About the role

As a Safety Officer at Bio 101 Construction, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our construction projects in Ermita, Manila City. This full-time role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of workplace safety and contributing to the overall success of our company.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address safety hazards
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Providing safety briefings and training to construction teams
  • Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety concerns
  • Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and data analysis
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and training initiatives
  • Certification in occupational health and safety
  • TESDA-certified Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) or equivalent professional safety certification
