Job Description

The Sr. Manager for Retail Electricity Operations will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Retail Electricity Supply (RES) business. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient end-to-end operations while driving financial performance, strengthening regulatory compliance, enhancing stakeholder relationships, and fostering organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and oversee power supply mix optimization and customer portfolio management.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate priorities, growth objectives, and sustainability commitments.
  • Promote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement to enhance supply, trading profitability, and operational efficiency.

Financial Management

  • Oversee the full P&L of RES operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations on investment opportunities, capacity expansion, and long-term asset management planning.
  • Lead risk management efforts in IEOMOP trading activities.
  • Oversee risk mitigation strategies for potential tax issues related to trading operations.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of at least 500MW in contestable customers.

Legal, Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant energy laws, regulations, and standards at the local, regional, and national levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, and HSE teams to proactively manage risks and uphold strong governance practices.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams to foster a high-performing, safety-focused, and accountable culture.
  • Partner with HR to strengthen leadership succession pipelines through talent development and capability-building programs.
  • Drive employee engagement, collaboration, and inclusion to enhance organizational resilience and adaptability.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with regulators, government agencies, and key industry partners.
  • Represent the company in industry associations, forums, and regulatory dialogues, helping shape the future of Retail Competition and Open Access.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, offering insights on market trends, industry issues, and operational opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Technical Knowledge, Training & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in the energy, utilities, or RES sector.
  • Proven track record in leading teams, particularly within RES or related operations.
  • Strong experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in energy sector legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in renewable energy operations is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership, people management, and organizational development capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including effective government and regulatory engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php150, Php180,000.00 per month
