We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Officer to manage and oversee the daily accounting operations of our ice cream manufacturing and retail business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting within a food or FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

-Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts, including bank, vendor, and inventory-related accounts.

-Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.

Cost & Inventory Accounting

-Maintain cost accounting records for raw materials (e.g., dairy, sugar, flavors), production processes, and finished goods.

  • Analyze production costs, variances, and margin trends to support pricing and profitability decisions.

  • Oversee periodic stocktakes and perform inventory reconciliations across factories and retail outlets.

  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

  • Analyze variances and provide insights to management for operational improvements.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.

-Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.

  • Maintain and improve internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance and training where necessary.

  • Liaise with other departments (sales, procurement, production) to ensure accurate and

timely financial data integration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in food production or

FMCG.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and inventory accounting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and integrity in handling financial data.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in a manufacturing or food processing company, particularly in perishable goods.

  • Familiarity with cost accounting methods specific to food production (batch costing,

standard costing).

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or food industry regulatory environments (a plus).

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
