JOB DESCRIPTION:

The SENIOR ACCOUNTANT is primarily responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

MONTHLY/QUARTERLY:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, such as Bank Reconciliation, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Profitability of all shows, etc.
  • Preparation and eSubmission to the BIR of Quarterly Alphalist of Withholding Taxes, and Quarterly Relief of Valued-Added Taxes.
  • Review and certify the accuracy of all BIR remittances (Withholding Taxes on Compensation and Expanded, Fringe Benefit Tax, Value-Added Tax, Income Tax, etc.)
  • Review and certify the accuracy of all other remittances, such as the government mandatory deductions (SSS, Philhealth, Pagibig).
  • Review the accuracy of payments to all suppliers ensuring that the correct withholding tax was applied.
  • Monitor the monthly and annual subscriptions of the company, such as the life and non-life insurance renewals, HMO and other medical benefits renewals, software subscriptions, etc.
  • Review and certify the correctness of weekly output payrolls for freelance artists, and semi-monthly payroll for regular and project-based employees.
  • Review and certify the correctness of all other payroll-related expenses such as 13th month pay, leave conversion, medical reimbursements, etc.

ANNUAL:

  • Prepare and submit all Annual Information Return needed, such as ITR of all employees, Annual Alphalist, etc
  • Coordinate with the external auditor for the year-end financial statements audit. Provide all the necessary documents needed within the allotted time to file the Annual Income Tax Return and Audited Financial Statements before the deadline.
  • Coordinate with the BIR for their issued Letter of Authority (LOA); Complete all the documents listed in their checklist of requirements and work closely with the officer for any discrepancies that may arise and provide reconciliations to close the difference noted.

OTHERS:

  • As the need arises, prepare other financial reports as requested by the Chief Finance Officer.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of BS Accountancy

Experience: With at least five (5) year of solid work experience in the accounting field

Competencies:

  • Experienced in preparing, analyzing and presenting financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, etc.
  • Proficiency in handling local tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT, and other tax filings.
  • Familiarity with both internal and external audit processes and compliance requirements, especially during the yearly financial audits.
  • Familiarity with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements and compliance with other local government agencies, such as the City Hall, SEC, etc.; Experience in handling BIR audits is an advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Advanced knowledge in using an accounting sotware, preferably Quickbooks Online, and the ability to quickly learn other softwares, such as

Pay: Php35, Php50,000.00 per month
