Cloud Solution Sales Specialist (AWS)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Solution Sales Specialist to join our team and champion the adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for our clients. As a key member of the services sales team, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, designing tailored cloud solutions, and delivering value-driven proposals that leverage the unmatched capabilities of AWS. This role is pivotal in shaping AWS-backed transformation journeys — securing funding, aligning with AWS co-sell programs, and driving qualified opportunity conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement

  • Identify and qualify prospects for AWS solutions, understanding their unique business challenges and needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders and technical teams to gain trust and alignment on AWS offerings.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations showcasing AWS technologies and how they can transform the customer's business operations.

Solution Design and Selling

  • Collaborate with technical architects to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and business cases that highlight the financial and operational benefits of AWS adoption.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers, ensuring clarity and confidence in the proposed solutions.

Market Expertise

  • Stay abreast of AWS advancements, service offerings, and industry trends to maintain credibility and expertise in customer conversations.
  • Provide insights into market and competitor activities, identifying opportunities to differentiate AWS solutions.

Collaboration and Execution

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and technical support, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with AWS best practices.
  • Contribute to team growth through mentorship and sharing of sales strategies, tools, and techniques.

Funding and Program Alignment

  • Collaborate with AWS teams and leverage programs such as MAP, OLA, CEI, and POC funding to accelerate customer cloud adoption.
  • Identify and convert leads eligible for AWS funding programs (e.g., CEI) and actively manage submission, approval, and tracking processes.
  • Ensure alignment of proposals with AWS Partner Network (APN) co-sell and funding incentives.

Profile Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in AWS solutions (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) is preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in solution sales, preferably within the cloud computing or technology industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth through consultative selling.
  • Experience working with AWS, or similar cloud funding programs and frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Azure AMM/MAP, Google Cloud credits).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies and services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS is highly valued.
  • Strong exposure or domain knowledge in Manufacturing, BFSI, and Services sectors, with adaptability to engage across other verticals.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen to craft solutions that deliver measurable results for customers.
  • Comfortable with technical concepts and able to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • Conversion of qualified leads into AWS CEI or equivalent funded programs.
  • Pipeline contribution from AWS co-sell and incentive-backed deals.
  • Active engagement in internal sales enablement initiatives/motions.
  • Measurable influence on cloud adoption velocity and customer satisfaction.
