Job Summary

The Repair and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance of company-owned light vehicles. The role ensures the fleet remains safe, roadworthy, and cost-efficient by supervising mechanics, coordinating with external service providers, monitoring vehicle performance, and maintaining detailed maintenance records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise daily repair and maintenance activities for light vehicles;
  • Assign tasks and provide technical guidance to mechanics, and drivers;
  • Inspect and verify quality of work performed on vehicles;
  • Ensure proper tools, equipment, and parts are available and used efficiently;

Maintenance & Repair Management

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all light vehicles;
  • Diagnose vehicle problems and recommend effective solutions;
  • Oversee troubleshooting repair, and servicing activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards;
  • Monitor breakdowns and ensure timely corrective actions to minimize vehicle downtime;
  • Coordinate with accredited suppliers and service providers for specialized repairs;

Fleet Monitoring & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of repair works, maintenance schedules, spare parts usage, and service history;
  • Track vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and overall condition;
  • Ensure timely renewal of registrations, insurance, and compliance with regulatory requirements;

Cost & Resource Management

  • Monitor repair and maintenance expenses to ensure cost efficiency;
  • Control inventory of spare parts and recommend procurement when necessary;
  • Assist in budget preparation for fleet maintenance;

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company policies on vehicle use, safety, and preventive maintenance;
  • Ensure compliance with traffic regulations, occupational health, and safety standards;
  • Conduct regular safety checks and recommend improvements;

Key Qualifications

  • Graduate of any four year degree program;
  • Have at least three to five years of experience in light vehicle repair and maintenance;
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office applications;
  • Has good communication skill;
  • Able to work autonomously and in groups;
  • Able to prioritize duties and resourceful;
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
