JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the efficient operation of kitchen, HVAC, and facility equipment across multiple store locations. This role involves conducting facility audits, implementing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs, and coordinating with internal departments and external contractors to maintain optimal equipment performance. The engineer will also analyze maintenance data to enhance efficiency, optimize spare parts inventory management, and recommend ongoing improvement initiatives. Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders are essential for this role.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I Facility and Equipment Maintenance Management

a.     Develops, maintains, and implements daily, weekly, and monthly work plan activities for the maintenance technicians.

b.     
Communicate clearly with store managers/staff regarding the status of repairs, maintenance, and any required follow-up actions.

c.     Coordinate with external maintenance sub-contractors, mall administrator, and other third-party representatives to discuss requirements and compliances about engineering and technical aspects.

II Resource and Inventory Management

a.     Ensures that all necessary tools, spare parts, equipment, and operating supplies are properly defined, maintained, and sourced on time to maintain an appropriate inventory level and ensure that sources are identified and readily available.

b.     Implement continuous improvement projects on facilities, equipment, and maintenance systems.

c.    Coordinate with other departments – especially with Operations, Procurement, and Treasury - to ensure maintenance activities align with important requirements and priorities.

III Compliance and Documentation

a.     Prepare and provide maintenance reports. Evaluate and analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

b.     Conducts store facility and equipment audit to formulate and update predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs.

c.     Prepare and provide inventory reports of critical spare parts. And issue purchase requests for replenishments of spare parts and other needed engineering items.

IV Leadership, Emergency, and Safety Management

a.     Overseeing the maintenance team and providing guidance and support as needed.

b.     
Motivates and encourages technicians towards continuous performance improvement, compliance to safety rules and regulations through coaching and direct supervision and performance reviews.

c.     Derive and recommend appropriate trainings and seminars for the team's technical proficiency and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. PRC Licensed Engineer is preferred. With experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role

  • At least 3 years of experience in Kitchen, HVAC Equipment, and/or Facilities Repairs & Maintenance (experience in the food manufacturing /restaurant industry is a plus)

  • Knowledgeable in facility and machinery: predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance procedures.

  • Knowledgeable in the MEPFS system is an advantage. (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Suppression)

  • Willing to travel to various Amici and Caramia store locations.
