SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition, and healthcare.

Job description and minimum qualifications:

OPERATIONS HEAD

  • Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management and Business Management, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Work Experience:At least 5 years of experience in a senior warehouse and supply and inventory operational roles in a poultry dressing plant or any related related experience.
  • Skill and Knowledge:
  • Excellent knowledge of poultry processing production, biosecurity, and food safety standards, and productivity efficiencies.
  • Expert in poultry processing or dressing plant operations.
  • Highly mobile or can travel anywhere in the country at any time.
  • Throughput and piece rate schemes implementations.
  • Manpower utilization and optimization.
  • Plant yield capacity achievement and improvement.
  • Production Line Balancing Improvement.
  • Warehousing and Inventory Management.
  • Product Quality Assurance.
  • Productivity Indexes Implementations.

Job Description:

The Operations Head for the poultry industry or food industry oversees and manages all operational aspects of the organization, ensuring the efficient, and sustainable production, distribution, and sales of poultry products. This role involves strategizing, implementing, and monitoring key processes to achieve organizational goals and maintain quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional and plant managers across the all areas.
  • Drive innovation to optimize processes, target volumes, and achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Oversee poultry production processes and efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, bureau of animal industry, health, and safety, environmental, and labor relations regulations.
  • Responsible for the production performance and day to day challenges to ensure optimal output.
  • Implement and maintain stringent quality control systems across all operations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor standards, environmental, including food safety and animal welfare.
  • Analyze financial performance and budget expenses data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align operational goals with the plant business objectives.
