Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to apply their expertise in the exciting hospitality and gaming sector. Working remotely with flexible part-time hours, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of an established venue that combines traditional pub operations with modern gaming services. This role offers the perfect blend of fundamental bookkeeping responsibilities with the unique challenges of managing multiple revenue streams in a dynamic industry environment. You'll work independently while being supported by a dedicated team, ensuring accurate financial records for a business that operates at the intersection of hospitality and entertainment.


Responsibilities
  • Manage creditors' accounts and maintain accurate supplier relationships
  • Perform precise bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy across multiple revenue streams
  • Prepare and process general journal entries for complex hospitality and gaming transactions
  • Handle essential bookkeeping tasks that support daily business operations
  • Utilize Xero accounting software for comprehensive financial record management
  • Support financial operations for gaming machines, TAB, and Keno revenue streams
Requirements
  • Proven experience with Xero accounting software and strong proficiency in its features
  • Solid bookkeeping background with thorough understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Previous experience in the hospitality and gaming industries strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with gaming machine operations, TAB betting, and Keno systems is highly advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Understanding of compliance requirements related to hospitality and gaming operations
