REMOTE Physician's Assistant (PA) and Scribe

Time Range: Between 7 AM – 7 PM CST (Graveyard Shift)

Working Hours: 9-hour shift (8 working hours + 1-hour break)

Days Off: TBD (2 days per week)

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Remote Physician's Assistant (PA) and Scribe to join our expanding team. This position does not involve direct patient interaction; rather, you will provide support to physicians and other healthcare providers by managing clinical documentation, charting, scribing, and various administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document patient encounters and visit notes (real-time scribing or otherwise) within the EMR/EHR system (SOAP notes, HPI, ROS, assessment/plan, prescription refills).
  • Prepare pre-visit notes, patient intake forms, and chart reviews ( summarize relevant history, recent labs, and imaging for the physician)
  • Support providers with referrals, orders, and follow-up documentation.
  • Ensure documentation meets compliance, coding, and billing standards.
  • Communicate with care teams via secure messaging, EMR portals, and virtual collaboration tools.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare (MBBS, MD, Administration, Physician's Assistant, and Dental Assistant) with excellent medical knowledge and proficiency in patient record management.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with insurers, patients, and healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of medical and/or dental procedures, insurance verification, and coverage limitations.
  • Preferred but not required:Understanding of CPT/ICD-10 codes, PPO/HMO plans, and coverage variations.
  • Excellent attention to detail in documentation.
  • Ability to escalate unresolved insurance or billing issues as needed.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).

Technical Requirements (Work-From-Home Setup)

  • Computer: Minimum Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM (16GB preferred)
  • Internet: Reliable connection (backup ISP required)
  • Headset: USB noise-canceling headset
  • Power Backup: UPS/generator or alternative work location in case of power outages
  • Workspace: Quiet, distraction-free home office setup
