The Bar Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the beach resort bar, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient bar operations, proper staff supervision, and compliance with resort standards.

Job Descriptions:

  • Supervise daily bar operations (opening, service hours, closing).
  • Ensure consistent drink quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Monitor bar cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage bar setup for peak hours, events, and special function
  • Supervise bartenders and bar staff during shifts.
  • Assign duties and ensure proper staff coverage.
  • Train new bar staff on recipes, service standards, and resort policies.
  • Monitor staff performance and enforce service discipline.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory of liquors, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
  • Prepare and submit inventory requests and consumption reports.
  • Control wastage, spillage, and over-pouring.
  • Assist in stock receiving, checking quality and quantities.
  • Ensure friendly, professional, and prompt service at all times.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Support upselling of beverages and promotions.
  • Maintain a welcoming beach-resort vibe for local and tourist guests.
  • Supervise POS usage and daily bar sales.
  • Ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in daily sales reporting and reconciliation.
  • Monitor compliance with resort pricing and promos.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Enforce resort rules regarding guest behavior and alcohol consumption.
  • Coordinate with security and management when needed.
  • Ensure proper handling of glassware and equipment in beach settings.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years experience as Bar Supervisor or Senior Bartender.
  • Experience in resort, hotel, or beach bar is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic cocktails, beers, and bar operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Physically fit and willing to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Customer-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
